Clear Financial has had a keen interest in investment in renewable energy in Europe since 2010. The focus to date has been on opportunities to invest in solar parks in Europe that benefit from government incentives for renewable energy production to help meet the targets set out by the EU for 2020. More recently we have been monitoring the UK Biomass energy market with the UK government incentives recently confirmed until 2018. Opportunities now exist for Irish investors to tap into this market and avail of excellent returns over the short term. The recent announcement of the development of a large Biomass plant in Killala, Co. Mayo shows that Ireland is starting to show commitment to this form of renewable and sustainable energy production which will feed into the national grid.
