Senior Financial Adviser, Marcus Doyle, came up with a novel way to raise money for Pieta House.
Marcus Doyle, a second-row for Clondalkin RFC, decided he wouldn’t cut his hair until he scored a try for his club. That moment finally came on 13th January 2019 in a Leinster league game against Portlaoise, three and a half months after the bet with his teammates was made. Marcus’s score was the first score on the board and it obviously did a lot for morale as Clondalkin went on to win the game!
“My clients were probably raising their eyebrows at me”, admits Marcus, “I looked more like a surfer than a financial adviser for a while there, but it was worth it.” Marcus raised €625 for Pieta House, a charity to which Marcus and Clondalkin RFC feel connected.
Well done Marcus!
